Current project submitted for Development Approval (DA) in Southport, Queensland.
The development consists of 12x 1, 2 & 3 Bed units with rooftop communal space & gardens. Vegetation is incorporated where possible to reduce the urban hardscape context of the area.

Our Surfers Paradise Vespa Crescent project nearin

Our Surfers Paradise Vespa Crescent project nearing completion. Site visit with the Habitat team this week.
Off form concrete, Abodo timber black cladding and the greenery of the landscaping. Some of our favourite materials.
The detailing in this project is a direct reflection of the time, love and care we invest in what we love doing.
This project really is next level and we couldn’t be more thankful to Al & Skye for trusting us with it and the legends @cmrconstructions for bringing it to life.

Another Newcastle project from the weekend visit n

Another Newcastle project from the weekend visit nearing completion. Garry & Deb’s.
This project is a great example of clients trusting your expertise and creative freedom. Not mimicked from current trends the form is dictated be a long narrow linear site where the South facing long facade has uninterrupted views to Redhead beachfront. An inverted truss extrudes the full length and extends over the entry resting on a stone colonnade. The inverted truss allows a double raked ceiling internally pulling high north light in from the neighbor’s and allowing large glazing to the beachfront facade.
Not intentionally it has some Mid Century character, maybe reflective of projects I love and am inspired by.
Contrary to real estate agents and design influencers beliefs, McMansions with flat roofs is not Palm Springs inspired mid century Architecture. Our houses don’t have names either, they have street numbers.

Newcastle weekend site visits to some projects we’ve had recently completed or under construction.

#convid and a few other factors had restricted us getting back to check out the completed project.
Thanks to Adz & Jules for the opportunity to design such a great project.
The material palette is reflective of the coastal Beachside site.
